Privacy
Two separate things get confused here, so this page separates them: what this website collects, and what the products collect.
The short version
We count page views on our own server. If you allow it, we also tell one visit apart from the next, which is how we find the pages that fail people. We sell no profile to anybody, show no advertising, and use no third-party analytics service.
Everything below describes the code that runs today. If you find a difference between this page and the site's behavior, that is a fault and we want to hear about it.
What you are asked
On your first visit a banner asks one question. Only after you answer does anything reach us. There is no pre-ticked box, and declining is the same size button as accepting.

What is stored in your browser
Each of these is readable only by this site and is used only for the purpose listed.

Declining analytics, or changing your answer to necessary only, deletes the browser and visit ids immediately.
What we record on our side
One line per page view in a file on our own server: the path, the time, the page that referred you, your browser's user-agent string, whether the device is a phone, and a one-way hash of your address. Only the hash is kept; the address itself is discarded. If you allowed analytics, the two random ids are on the line as well.
We also record how far down a page you scrolled, how long the tab was in front of you, and how quickly the page loaded on your device. That is how we tell a page people abandon from a page people skip.
Where your address goes, and why
To turn an address into a country and a network operator, we ask services that do that, on every counted request, whichever answer you gave the banner:

We use the answers to tell a company network from a home broadband connection, so we can see which organizations are reading the site. That names companies, never people. Who you are stays unknown to us and we leave it that way, with nothing bought from data brokers.
If you would rather none of that happened, decline analytics. Page counting continues and the lookups still run on the address of the request, because a web server cannot receive a request without receiving an address. To avoid that entirely, use a VPN, which is a reasonable thing to do.
The products
Six of the eight products run only inside your environment, on hardware you own. RoomIQ and SpacesIQ can also run hosted by us, in a region you pick. What they read, meaning your inventory, configurations and device data, stays in that deployment, whoever hosts it.
Forms
If you fill in a form, we get what you typed. It is stored on our own server, outside the part of it the web can reach, and it is emailed to the people who will answer you. We use it to answer you. We do not sell it and we do not add you to a mailing list you did not ask for. Ask and we delete it.
How long any of it is kept
The page-view log is replaced when it reaches 50 MB, and older files are removed by hand. Form submissions are kept while the conversation is live and deleted on request.
Asking us
To ask what we hold about you, or to have it deleted, mail contact_us@cybriq.io. A person reads it. Because the only identifier we keep is a one-way hash, we will usually need you to tell us roughly when you visited so we can find the right lines.
