CybrIQ is a network-layer device-identification platform. We work with K-12 districts, colleges, universities, and federally funded research environments because the asset-register problem in education is the same problem we already solve well: the spreadsheet says one thing, the network says another, and the gap between them grows every academic year.
What we are
A small team building one focused product. We deploy a customer-installed scan engine that reads each managed switch over read-only SNMP, captures Layer-1 signals, and matches the resulting device fingerprint against a 750-million-device reference library. The output is a continuous, evidence-grade device inventory that the institution's existing teams can consume in the tools they already use.
The technical method is unchanged from the rest of the CybrIQ platform. The education focus is in the framing: we know how K-12 IT teams operate (small, stretched, building-by-building), how higher-education IT operates (federated, multi-stakeholder, audit-driven), and how research environments operate (grant-funded procurement outside the central IT loop).
What we are not
CybrIQ does not do what the rest of your security stack does. The boundaries:
- We are not an MDM. Your MDM (Google Admin, Jamf, Mosyle, Intune) configures and manages enrolled devices. We tell you what is on the network, including the devices the MDM does not see.
- We are not a NAC. Your NAC enforces network-access policy. We feed identity context into that decision; we do not enforce it ourselves.
- We are not an EDR or antivirus. Those products detect malicious behavior on managed endpoints. We identify the endpoints, not the behavior.
- We are not a SIEM. Your SIEM correlates security events across the institution. We feed device-identity events in; we do not replace the correlation layer.
- We are not a firewall, IPS, or DLP. Those products inspect traffic content. We inspect the network's metadata about what is plugged in, not what is being said over the wire.
How we operate
- Direct engagement. Working sessions are with engineers, not with sales-development reps. The first call is a conversation about your environment, not a pitch.
- Education-friendly procurement. We work with state and cooperative purchasing arrangements (NASPO, OMNIA, Sourcewell, TIPS, regional state contracts) so the procurement office does not have to start a new vendor evaluation.
- Transparent privacy posture. The privacy page covers what we see, what we do not see, where data lives, and what we do with email contents (which is: nothing, beyond the conversation it was sent for).
- No surprise sales motion. We do not enroll your email address in marketing automation or remarketing. If we follow up, it is because you asked us to.

Education is one of several verticals CybrIQ serves.
